課程概述 |
這門課包含兩個部分，第一部分是介紹分析金融機構與市場的架構，金融機構和市場是用來處理資金融通和解決其中所產生的問題，透過分析這些問題，探討金融機構如何處理這些問題，我們能比較理解金融機構和市場的前世今生和未來。第二部分是由同學分組來針對金融機構和金融科技公司做深入的探討，金融科技有多種類型，同學對不同的類型各有偏好，透過分組一方面可以更深入的了解自己有興趣的部分，經由課堂報告也可以吸收別組的成果。 |

課程要求 |
課程分數取決於課堂參與(10%)、三次個案(25%)、兩次報告(30%)和一次考試(35%)。課堂參與包含分組報告時對別組報告的提問和建議。個案和報告以組為單位，每組最多五人。個案會提供討論材料和問題，請針對問題提供書面答案，正文以A4紙10頁為限。 |

報告包含口頭和書面。報告分成兩次：
第一次報告在fintech學術文章中選擇一篇報告
第二次報告選定一個類型的金融機構或是一家fintech公司做為探討對象，如果是探討fintech公司，討論方向可參考下列問題：
1. What do they do? How do they do it?
2. When the company first starts, what functions (services) do they provide? How does it provide a better service than existing firms?
3. What kind of financial institutions provide similar service in other countries?
4. Do you think such a company can survive in Taiwan?
5. What are their current focus, if different from 2?
6. What are the evolutions observed in the past few years?
7. What are the challenges or what can be changed in the next few years?
如果是探討一個類型的金融機構，討論方向可參考下列問題：
1. Who are the largest ones in the world and in Taiwan?
2. What do they do? How do they do it?
3. What functions (services) do they provide?
4. What are their current focus?
5. What are the changes observed in the past few years?
6. What kind of fintch firms arise in the market?
